October 2006

Carrier Call announces the upgrade of its framework to version 6.1. With the release of the new version, Carrier Call demonstrates the flexible and rapid adoption of customer and community requests. Major framework enhancements include: smaller code foot prints, integration of client failure reporting enhancements for rapid troubleshooting, general user interface enhancements, speed improvements with data visualization as well as minor bug fixes. The freely accessible XCarrier trial version is based on this newest version of the framework. Feel free to test the new framework and get exited about the new features and speed improvements. September 2006

Carrier Call will attend at the IFA 2006 in Berlin. IFA is the world's largest Consumer Electronics trade fair with 1,202 exhibitors from 40 countries (up 16%) and 245,849 participants (2005) on an exhibition space of 160,000 sqm. IFA is also a trade fair for both experts and the public featuring special services for trade visitors and a varied program with special events for consumers, 99,471 trade visitors including 14,523 from outside Germany (up 56%). Dr. Peter Pircher will attend and be present at panel discussions and meet different people from the telecommunication and cable network sector around the world. August 2006

Carrier Call extends its own product portfolio with a new statistics and reporting Module, which gives our customer the freedom to have all business relevant facts and figures related to their voice trading activities available with just one mouse click. The new module fits seamlessly into the existing XCarrier environment and supports today's major file formats for producing the appropriate output format.

May 2006

Carrier Call announces the porting of its voice trading platform XCarrier 4.0 to the SUN Microsystems Solaris 10 operating system and application server.  With this step,  Carrier Call is making its solution available for enterprise class systems. High performance, active failover and redundancy is a demand and requirement for large scale telecommunication voice carriers. Carrier Call is using SUNs Fire server in its own datacenter for hosting the XCarrier 4.0 voice trading ASP platform for its growing customer base. Martin Christen, CTO of Carrier Call declares this move a major milestone to have the XCarrier voice trading platform running on all major operating systems currently in use by large scale telecommunication carriers. March 2006

Carrier Call enhance management team with the announcement of Dr. Peter Pircher as new Chief Consulting Officer (CCO). Peter has held senior management positions in a variety of technology organizations from startups in the US and Europe to Venture Capital funds. Past positions in the US included VP of R&D and CTO for Silicon Valley based technology companies. Peter was instrumental in introducing model driven development methods and tools. In Europe his responsibilities have included VP of Technology for a European Venture Fund, as Senior VP of Technology for a publicly held European Company and as independent consultant. Peter has more than 20 years of enterprise technology expertise, proven management skills and an extensive industry network. Having worked in pre-and post IPO companies and venture funds make him well positioned to advice Carrier Call's clients on technology and business strategies. Besides numerous articles on software development methods and processes Peter also co-authored a book on Data Broadcasting.
Peter received a PhD in Computer Science from University of Zurich and was a Research Fellow at the University of California. Peter is fluent in English, German and French.

The XCarrier application platform received from Sun Microsystems the Java Powered certification. Carrier Call demonstrates with this certification again  its high commitment for first class software development and a rock solid system architecture. During 2006, Carrier Call will deliver based on SUN Microsystems highly scalable hardware and software platform a next generation XSS solution for the XCarrier platform.

Carrier Call receive from Sun Microsystems the Associate Partner Status as Independent Software vendor. XCarrier is listed and approved as Java powered application. You find Carrier Call listed in the SUN Partner Directory. With this step forward, Carrier Call demonstrates strong commitment to the Java platform as well as to the ULC Framework. Building rich internet applications (RIA) with Java standards enables Carrier Call the flexibility customers demand today.

January 2006

Carrier Call releases the XCarrier 4.0 ASP version. The ASP Version will be secured with code signed JAVA applications and SSL encryption to connect to the application Server hosted by Carrier Call in Switzerland. Introduction of ZERO based client application maintenance through the new ULC JAVA client and N-Tier architecture.
